The Museum of Akropolis rewarded as the best museum of the world

In a competition held by the association of Great Britain's journalists with touristic interest the Museum of Akropolis won the first prize as "the best Museum of the world". According to the chairman of the Museum, Dimitris Pantermalis , it's a very important discretion that makes the Museum of Akropolis the first worldwide touristic destination.

The undersecretary of Culture and Tourism Mr. George Nikitiades, representing Greek Government, received the reward from the chairman of Great Britain's journalists Mrs. Melissa Shalls during a special event held in London. Mr. Nikitiades thanked the organizers and the participants at the voting and pointed out that this opens the door to the return of the Marbles of Akropolis to Greece.
