The 27th International Conference of Tourism "Philoxenia" was completed; can we, though, say that it was successful? No, if we consider that the conference took place at only two buildings, number 15 and 13, and that the exhibitors were not only reduced (compared with the last year's facts) but also it was like they were put in their post the last minute. Not to mention, that many of them had nothing to do with tourist services and products (e.g. perfumery).

This year's Philoxenia wasn't like the old glorious events that attracted to Thessaloniki a lot of people from all over Greece and abroad. The administration of the conference should take drastic measures and many initiatives for the next one in 2012, in order to avoid further shrinkage and finally the end of Philoxenia.
